Living Hope Christian Counseling Service began in 2007 after the prior director (Beth Ann Contraras) worked with Pastoral Counseling of El Paso. Pastoral Counseling began in 1980 under the inspiration and calling of Pastor Herman Green.

Robert & Kia Hart

Robert Hart MA, LPC-S, LSOTP-S
Executive Director

Robert received his Master’s degree from Texas State University in 1998. He received his biblical training at the Center for Relational Intimacy in Austin, Texas and Genesis Treatment Center in San Antonio, Texas. He is a committed Christian who believes that increased intimacy and attachment with God and others leads to a renewed heart and mind, as well as improved health mentally, spiritually, and physically.

Kia Hart, is a professional counselor at Living Hope. Robert and Kia are recipients of God’s grace in marriage and life and believe that God’s grace is sufficient for all of our needs; physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Robert and Kia have been married for over 30 years and have three amazing children.

Licensed in Texas

All of our licensed counselors at Living Hope are licensed by the state of Texas in the field of mental health.

Educated & Experienced *

All of Living Hope's counselors have obtained a master's degree, are currently enrolled in a graduate school program in mental/behavioral health, or are working towards licensure.

Trained & Skilled *

All of our counselors have training and competence in a variety of areas, included but not limited to: mood disorders, trauma, military life, pastoral care, and communication skills.

All of Living Hope’s student interns are pursuing their Master’s degrees in mental health with the goal of achieving their licensure.

*All students, interns, associates, and pastoral care counselors are supervised and advised by board approved licensed counselor supervisor. All are Christian counselors knowledgeable in the application of biblical principles and truths to the problems of life. They will make use of all aspects of their training to provide the client with the best counseling possible. No religious beliefs will be imposed on a client.
